With three kids under three, we have many baby blankets, but this one is BY FAR the nicest one we have! I bought two of them for our twins and now wish that I had bought more. I found them over a year ago at Toys R Us on clearance and paid $10 a piece for them, but would pay the $25 charged here on Amazon as well. They are worth it! The blankets are larger than most, with a ruffle that I thought would be annoying at first, but is not as it is terrific for laying over babies’ ears when it is chilly (not too covered, just the right amount). As for their durability, I have two of them and have washed them both at least 2 dozen times in the last 15 months, and they look and feel as wonderful as they did at first. And regarding their material content, I wrote the company and asked them and this was their reply: “The surface of the velour material (brushed part) is 100% organic cotton, however, due to the nature of cotton, we cannot have 100% cotton on the back, it has to be 80% organic cotton and 20% polyester on the back (to hold the cotton fiber in place). The good thing is that the part that’s facing out is 100% organic cotton”. My only complaint about this blanket is that they don’t make it in a size that would fit my bed…

I loved this blanket when I received it. It’s a beautiful beige color with a cream backing, soft, and large. The beige front is made of a super soft cotton/polyester velour material and the cream back is a soft jersey material. Unfortunately, the makers didn’t follow the most basic rule that any amateur seamstress knows – you have to preshrink fabrics before you combine different fabrics into one item.
The first time I put this blanket in the dryer, the jersey side of the blanket shrunk by about 15% and the velour side didn’t. Now the blanket has a permanently rumpled look. It was really pretty before I washed it.

This was as pretty as pictured, color accurate.
So soft, and cuddly from the beginning; did not feel stiff out of the package.
If it came in different colors, I would purchase them!

The photo of this product pretty much captures what it looks like. It is a soft brown with ruffled edges. It is a good size for a baby blanket, not too small and not large enough that you lose baby. As far as this blanket being reversible, I would have to say that both sides don’t look any different. Perhaps if one side had a pattern or something it could be considered reversible but both sides are just brown, the underside not shown is just a soft cotton, where as the side shown is a bit fuzzy.
